Every 4 years and sometimes 5, great gray owls show up in the Ottawa area. If anyone is counting, winter 24/25 is the 4th year in that cycle. I refound the owl hunting early this morning. Unfortunately, all photos taken from the road so the owl was far away. My early morning many people showed up and went down into the marsh where they found 2 great gray owls. Sadly, something called work got in the way as I headed home by 8:30am while everyone else there went down into the marsh.
