The NOTL Christmas Parade took place today, Saturday, December 14, beginning after 11:00 a.m. The parade stated at the intersection of King and Centre Street in Old Town and traveled throughout its traditional route down Castlereagh, Wellington, Byron/ Prideaux, Simcoe, and Queen Streets. It was a beautiful blue sky day. Bundled up it was still chilly standing but not to the warm hearts that prevailed. A fanfare of numerous marching bands, decorated floats, a pony, horse and carriages, fancy cars, St. Bernards, dancers and more entertained. Spiderman, giant Gingerbread Men, and a plethora of grinches excited the children. Santa was his cheerful self wishing the crowd a Merry Christmas and reminding someone they dropped their toque. Nothing escapes Santa. People kept the fun going in charming shops, restaurants, and festive activities but hot chocolate was foremost on countless minds
